Yahoo Photos Is Lying About Their “unlimited Free Storage”?
I was told there are limitations to the Yahoo Photos free storage such as you can only upload 300 photos to an album, and that you can only upload a certain number of photos in a 24 hour period. Beyond that I was informed the storage is still unlimited and free. NOT TRUE. For the past week I’ve received the error “you only have XX MB’s of storage remaining” when I try to upload pictures. Apparently Yahoo photos is touting a feature to their service that is not real. This is false advertising.
If somone can answer my question as to why this is happening it would be great. This experience alone has caused me to want to switch photo sharing services, as well as tell all my friends that Yahoo Photos is not what it claims to be.
Are you using the “new Yahoo photos” (i.e. beta) or the old one? I am still on the old version and cannot use the new beta version. It’s ridiculous that the beta is still being tested and unavailable considering Y! has been touting it since before June and now it’s September.
Yahoo is being gay.
I like Yahoo and prefer to use it over Google’s services, but Y! is taking forever to launch their service. They need to get their act together. I am waiting for Y! Photos and expect a great program becuase Google’s Picasa has a lot of great features.
yep, i dont like to use Yahoo Photos.
now, i use DriveHQ service, i t give me 1 GB free space and i can online storage, U/D, backup and sharing my photos.
