I have an 5th Gen I-Pod Video. I have Several Camera’s Which i have tried to connect. 1.) Nikon D-80. 2.) Casio Exilm Z1000 3.) Casio Exilm Z1250. My intent is to use the Ipod as an “on-the-go” photo storage unit for traveling. I have tried both the “apple camera connector” and the other way of using a “gender changer” and just connecting the camera’s cables to the ipod’s cables. Neither of which have worked. I’ve made sure that the ipod is both set up to use the hard-drive and that it accepts photo-importing. I’ve also checked my cameras to make sure they were set properly to output the pictures. No luck @ all, i click the “photo import” on the i-pod and it says “ready to connect” i connect the camera and it does nothing. Any suggestions, this is killing me; im trying to use the ipod here soon on an upcoming vacation.
go into the folder that your computer
takes the pictures from.
delete the ones you dont want
and open up itunes.
connect your ipod and
make sure it updates itself.
there.
When I plug in my iPod to my computer and iTunes comes up, my storage meter says “Audio, Video, Photos, Other, Free Space”. What does “Other” mean?

the small storage affects only the music
or
the photos and movies you put in it too?
So my friend wants to buy my second hand ipod and I have no idea what to sell it for because I don’t want her to ge the impression that I’m ripping her off. It’s a 30GB limited U2 version ipod. It’s the one in black and red but with no colour screen or video or photo storage. It can store about 5000 songs. I ordered it from Dubai and I paid around about US$250 for it. So the question is, now it’s a year later and what should I sell it for? Half price? 75 % of the original price? 20% of the original price? I have no clue. HELP!
What kind of computer are you using? If it is a mac, then you create new albums in your iPhoto and when syncing with iTunes you select the albums in the “Photo” tab and select also “selected albums”, then just tick the appropriate album and hit Sync.
If its a PC you are using, BURN it and buy a MAC!!
Pinkster
depends on how you want them stored and what ipod you have. If you have an ipod photo or an ipod video, you can load photos onto the ipod for viewing using iPhoto or Adobe Photoshop Album. This will resize them once they are on the ipod to fit on your ipod screen, so if you’re looking to pull them off later to print, this is probably not what you are looking for.
If you want to load the photos onto your computer and then onto your ipod in their original state, you can enable disk mode on the ipod and copy them over, using the ipod as an external hard drive. In itunes 7, you do this by selecting the ipod and checking the “enable disk use” box). With this method, you will not be able to view them on your ipod screen
If you are looking to copy photos directly from your camera to the ipod, you’ll likely need to invest in an accessory like the ipod camera connector or the Belkin Media Adaptor. I haven’t used on personally, but some of these devices claim to load both the raw image and a jpeg image that is viewable through the ipod’s photo options, so be sure to read up and make sure that the accessory does what you want.
