I am looking for some sites that have similar photo options (preferably better) than Shutterfly. Key factors are reliability, price range (I am willing to pay for quality, but not over-pay),and original options. The plan is to to create some calenders, photo books, and other such gifts. All useful suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
something like snapfish or photobucket that offers photo storage. is there a website that offers video storage?
I need to transfer files and photos from my home pc to the pc i use at school. Is it possible for me to store the files in a folder using my ipod?
My publisher is a great site. You can make a scrapbook type book for any occasion. Then they print it and mail it to you. I love this site and have a couple of books that I made there. I’m planning to make one for each of my sons’ after their first birthday that will cover the whole first year.

Those websites are incredibly complex and have many different elements and technologies, developed and perfected by tens if not hundreds of developers over several years, working together to produce the information you see and provide the experience you get.
I think what you want to know, is how to make dynamic websites (i.e. websites that can change, and not always show the exact same information). In order to accomplish this, you need to learn some sort of server-side programming language. The most popular for beginners and hobbyists is PHP because it is free, yet very robust.
In order to get started, I would recommend you find a web host that supports PHP sites (there are many) and then do a Google search for “PHP Tutorial”. There is an endless amount of information out there on the subject, the trick is finding a good place to start.
Good luck.
P.S. Don’t let any of that discourage you! Facebook was originally developed by Mark Zuckerberg who was just a 21 year old psychology student in his dorm room. It really was nothing more than a hobby he did on the side, now he’s the head of multi-billion dollar organization. Keep in mind, that version was not what you see today, but it offered the functionality that people wanted. He also built it in PHP.
Barbara,
As a former manager of a storage rental unit I can tell you that legally after 90 days have passed and no rental payment have been made the rental unit contents can be legally auctioned for public sale. I don’t know what the circumstances were, but you might be able to ask the company that auctioned the contents to forward a request to the buyer. The greater possibility is though the buyer disposed of the contents via ebay and tossed the non saleable items.
I would like to trasfer the photos over from photo to geocities
